This year, ‘Ysyakh of Tuymaada’ national holiday will take place in Үus Khatyng countryside on June 25-26. Ysyakh of Tuymaada, being one of the highlights of the cultural life of the capital, is held annually at the highest organizational level and each year gathers a growing number of visitors and participants.
This year ‘Ysyakh of Tuymaada’ will be devoted to the Year of Labor in Yakutsk, the Year of Infrastructure Development in Sakha (Yakutia) and the Year of Russian cinema in the Russian Federation.
According to Larisa Andreeva, Deputy Manager of Culture and Spiritual Development Department of the District Administration of Yakutsk, this year through the construction of new stands in Koumiss Center, designed for 10 thousand seats, a space for the opening ceremony of the national holiday will be significantly expanded.
“The construction of new stands in Koumiss Center became quite urgent in view of the fact that every year ‘Ysyakh of Tuymaada’ gathers a huge amount of visitors and tourists from foreign countries, the central regions of Russia, as well as delegations from ulus and regions of the Republic. The new grandstand will accommodate three times more people, plus the whole, it will fully meet all modern requirements in terms of quality and external design. This year, 10 thousand people will watch the opening ceremony of Ysyakh and a blessing ritual of Algys. In addition, according to modern canons, it was decided to design the new stands in the form of a flying bird in the sky. This means that all guests of ‘Ysyakh of Tuymaada’ passing through the ritual of blessing, Algys, with their thoughts, feelings, and good deeds will always strive upward, “- says Larisa Andreeva.
This year's major cultural events of Ysyakh are 2nd "Aiyy aha (Divine Drink)" International Festival" and "Dөhөgөy Games," which are in no way inferior to "Dygyn Sports Games."
"Last year, "Aiyy aha (Divine Drink)" International Festival was attended by masters of Mongolia and Kazakhstan, as well as local manufacturers of koumiss. This year, we hope that the festival will be attended by republican peasant farmers, and representatives of the Turkic-speaking countries. A new koumiss pavilion will be built next to the racecourse, where everybody will be able to taste national drinks. Also, a separate competition will be held among the folk artists and horse breeders to create the best decorations for horses, "Sakha Chapparaagyn sardangata," - said Larisa Andreeva.
